I was recently added to Bezeq's ADSL Experiment.
I would like to connect to the ADSL line through linux. Unfortunately, bezeq gave me a
special program that must be run under windows in order to connect. I
wonder if there is any way in which i can establish the connection through linux. This
is more or less what the program does:
1. I run the Bezeq ADSL connect.
2. Using a configured VPN dial up in my dial up adapter, it dials my modem ip,
providing an unknown password (the VPN dial up is made by "dialing" IP over the
ethernet interface)
3. It launches some browser-like window (using IE4 dlls), prompting for my username
and password.
4. After i entered that info, it gets into another browser windows asking to choose
isp (actcom or barak).
5. After i chose isp, another POPUP window shows (not browser window) and requires me
to enter my login for the specific isp (i have to login twice - for bezeq and
for isp, for each with different user/password).
6. I get an ip and start browsing, the Bezeq ADSL connect moves to backgroud.
As i couldn't find any way to establish the connection in linux, i temporarly
installed Windows NT 4.0 on my linux computer, but i experienced another strange
problem. Everything works fine on the computer with the internet connection, but when
i set up NAT to share my connection with my other computer (NAT by any
program like sygate or winroute) every http/ftp/dcc connection that i establish on the
shared computer is closed after one second of use. ping/tracert/telnet work
fine.
My windows NT has two ethernet adapters
DEC - IP 192.168.0.1 - connected to the local network
EEPRO - IP 10.10.20.35 - connected to the adsl modem. (this IP was provided to me by
BEZEQ)
I thought that there might be some routing problem, so here is my NT routing table:
The NDISWAN adapter is the VPN dialup interface.
