/etc/sysconfig/i18n or $HOME/.i18n . But you don't want to change the
lang ;)
Anyway, why use xmodmap, when you can use Xkb ?

fribidi has improved since then. The most noticable change: as of 0.1.10
it is a dynamically linked library. Trere are also some correcteness and
speed improvements.
