The preceding article seems to be written by somebody who is, well,
whatever. But that doesn't make the article wrong. The following is the
take from Toms Hardware Guide, a universally respected authority:

I think we all knew secure boot was a big problem the minute we heard
about it. Now we've got ourselves a situation.

This would be a great time to turn off secure boot. If that means not
being able to boot windows, that's the lesser of the evils. Perhaps in
a few months a solution to this potentially motherboard-bricking
problem will be found, tested, and proved safe and effective. It's at
that moment when secure boot can be turned on.

Personally, I haven't used secure boot a day in my life. On the face of
it, it's just plain dangerous.
