OK. I will tell you all the problems I have faced with my laptop and office
DHCP server (both Linux, RHL 6.0).

1. There is an IP address clash. Someone in your LAN is using a static IP
address, which the DHCP server is trying to lease you. This had happened to
me, and the hub I keep goes mad showing collision. To check this, get your
laptop off the net, and try pinging your lease IP address from elsewhere.

2. The PCMCIA card is not completely supported. Check in the PCMCIA HOWTO to
see if it is. My Xircom Realport REM 56G-100 dual card is not yet fully
supported, and I am waiting. Basically, I am not too sure how good the support
for 100 Mbps ethernet adapters is in Linux.

But, frankly, I cannot make head or tail out of your error messages. :-)
