There is nothing like a default swap area, unless you are doing a
kickstart installation [I have never done it, preferred tweaking and
screwing the things up myself rather than letting someone else have the
fun] where it 'might' do partitioning itself.. or one of the automatic
installation schemes [Like server class installation on Red Hat Linux]..
The rule of thumb, if you wanted to know that, is
Swap = MAX of [2xRAM, 128MB] for a full-fledged Linux machine.
