I think I'll stick to my numbers of 128MB per swap partition and
maximum of 8 partitions for "old" style linux swap areas. I just
cross-checked the docs and found that the "new" style swap areas can be
a max of 2GB. These numbers are for i386 machines. Values for for Alpha and
other architectures are different.
