Better still, take a suite of the usual apps you use (word processing,
email, games, or other apps) and compare their throughput and performance on
'doze and linux (on identical machines).

Should give you a crude idea of the difference ...  

Raju, is this "benchmarks suck" statement because several 'doze oriented
benchmarks have placed Linux low down on the pecking order, far below NT4
and BSD? ;)
