i remember seeing an option to debar mandrake's rpms or allow only RH
one's. So there should have been a rh-version check. Probably the problem
is not all packagers tag the rpm name with their version. 

However this should not have been an issue, since rpmfind is supposed to
query the xmlised ( RDFised to be precise ) data base to check for all
sorts of dependencies and things

  So its either a bug or errors in the RDF data base.
