Yes the dlink thing uses a rockwell chipset... initially there were two
56k propreitary standards... K56Flex (from rockwell/conexant) and X2(from
lucent/TI ???) and then the real standards v.90 was agreed upon... and all
manufacturers provided upgrades(software) to make the modems v.90
compliant!
