If that's a Compaq or IBM machine (with proprietory RAID) I suggest you
search their support site - there's usually a howto on installation of
redhat.

We faced similar issues with a netfinity 5000. Simple solution - move to
mandrake ;) (we were running short of time re bringing the box up, no time to
do R&D, and redhat 6.2 is seriously out of date)
