Few things :
1. I seem to be able to remember threads irrespective of what my email
client does.
2. I am either following a thread in which case I remember what all has
been said earlier or I found something interesting in this email in
which case either only that particular email is important or I go to the
list archive and check the complete thread.
3. I will try to remember to quote if I am trying to elaborate on some
particular section of a email. Hope that makes people happier :).
