It uses Kernel 2.4.x and you shouldn't have any problems configuring X. I'd the same problem - if you go thru the mailing list dated mid-May you will see we had a discussion on it, but it didn't work out fully. I finally rebuilt my kernel from 2.2.14-12 to 2.4.1; now it works fine. The kernel 2.4.1 source is available in Mar01 PCQ.
