Hi all, I am contributing to arranging a music program. I intend to record the entire program on computer.
I just found about sox/play/rec thr. the linux pronunciation thread. Coupled this with lame/notlame I guess producing a single mp3 will be just a matter of rec <some options>|notlame <some options> The interface will be with a professional music arranger system. I don't know any specs yet. But I have few things to get cleared first. 1)With single jack allowed at sound card input for mic, can i record stereo? My gut feeling says no. 2)What's the voltage requirement for sound card input? How much it can sustain. I need to design/get jack accordingly. I will be more than happy to place that single mp3 for 3 hours somewhere on web. The program is scheduled for 3rd November and one of my friend is going to play flute.(Yaa.. 3 hours of flute..) Any pointers appeciated. If I have missed any issues, please let me know.
