Grr... Thanks for reminding me but I would say it's better to have system wide
configuration file because you can have multiple databases listening to
different ports and it's not very flexible keeping different config files in
sync. OK that sounds kinda far stretched but postgresql.conf doesn't cover the
basic point. Alternate database location.
