Initially I too thought of downloading the cd images. But, later gave up
the idea and did an apt-get -d dist-upgrade which downloaded the new
versions of the packages that I had installed. Even after adding a lot
more new pacakges from the woody, the total size of the packages is about
450M. Compare that with 2-3 cd images at 600M each.

My personal advice is to go the apt-get way. If you need to install on
other machines (which do not have high speed connection), burn the
downloaded packages onto a cd and use it.

On a related note, have just downloaded the package fai (which is
supposed to be like jumpstart for redhat). Have to try that.

Regards,
