I have an 8G hdd <hda1 hda5-10>. I have windows on hda1 & hda5, hda6 is / for
RH7.1, hda7 is /home for RH7.1, hda8 is common swap, hda9 is / for woody &
hda10 is /home for woody. I have just loaded woody on hda9 and I am trying
to get lilo of RH to recognise the boot sector of woody but I keep getting
the following error on running lilo -t -v -v :
--------------------------------------------
Boot image: /boot/vmlinuz-2.2.19
Fatal: open /boot/vmlinuz-2.2.19: No such file or directory
Removed temporary file /boot/map~
---------------------------------------------
I have this in my /etc/lilo.conf
-------------------------------------
<snip>
image=/boot/vmlinuz-2.2.19
label=deb
read-only
root=/dev/hda9
----------------------------------------
I have tried putting the following i the image line:
/vmlinuz
/dev/hda9/vmlinuz
/dev/hda9/boot/vmlinuz-2.2.19
but to no avail.
/dev/hda9/boot/vmlinuz-2.2.19 exists so does a symbolic link to it in the
root directory of woody.
A similar line used to work when I had mandrake 8.1 on hda9.
please help :-)
