Does that sendmail 8.9.3 believe domain.com is local to it?  Have you put
domain.com in sendmail.cw or maybe in the Cw line in sendmail.cf on that
8.9.3 box?

Example below is to check for a mounted floppy from console or
from script : cat /proc/mounts | grep "/dev/fd0"
