Dear Bish and ofcourse other Gurus on LIH,

Bish has written 2tgz utility to convert deb and rpm
apackages to .tgz.

I was raeding the shell script and want to know how
following piece of code works:

cat <<- -EOF-

        ${PROGNAME} ver. ${VERSION}

This is a program to Convert rpm and debian
files to tar.gz format.

        $(usage)

        Options:

-h, --help Display this help message and
exit.
-d filename.deb Convert .deb file to
tar.gz
-r filename.rpm Convert .rpm file to
tar.gz

        Example: ${PROGNAME} -d package.deb (to
convert a .deb file)

        -EOF-

Is it that the output of the commands betwween the
loaction
cat <<- -EOF- till the line
-EOF- would be written to stdout?

Pl. correct me if I am wrong.

Regards,

Prasad
