If you have that many 'doze and NT boxes on your machines, best way is to
[1] turn off identd on your linux boxes
[2] configure proper internal dns / rdns for your LAN - and that same
nameserver can be used as a local dns server / resolver for your lan, making
browsing, email etc that much faster ...
