Actually I compiled MPlayer with `gcc version egcs-2.91.66
19990314/Linux (egcs-1.1.2 release)' which the configure was
complaining about (too lazy to up/downgrade -- even to figure out
whether I needed an upgrade or a downgrade :) Forced configure to use
the gcc and now it's working just fine.

I have the complete codec set if anyone wants, and if it's legal to
distribute it. If not, just forget I said anything.
