i could manage to setup modem connections through mgetty. basically i have two machines win1, linux at office1 (in lan with ip 192.168.1.1-linux and 192.168.1.2 - win1) and a windows machine at office2 (say win2) linux machine is connected to 6600182 phone line with 33.6kbps ext modem.
when i connect from win2 to linux through modem, linux answers the call and at postdial terminal screen, gives username and password prompt. but when i supply user name and password and press continue, it disconnects(may be i did not setup ppp correctly). I want , after pressing continue at post dial terminal screen, the machine win2 should be registered to office1 lan with ip 192.168.1.3. I have gone through isp-connectivity howto and help of mgetty.
