The one of the nic on squid machine goes to router and another one goes to
hub. From hub distribute to local lan.
Use iptable to route all local lan port 80 traffic to sqiuid machine at
squid port 3128.

How many active user are there at one time?
Squid is resource hungry, and need fast disk and lots of ram (CPU PIII is
OK)
disk cache of 4x5 GB of SCSI and ram of 512 Mb would give you excellent
response.
