Sometime on Apr 19, Waqar Ali Khan assembled some asciibets to say:

> In Red Hat linux 6.2 to start services used this command
> /etc/rc.d/init.d/squid start
>
> but in Linux 7.2 i can't find whow to start services.

did you mean Redhat linux 7.2?

Redhat 7.2 is starting to follow the FHS, so these things are now in
/etc/init.d/...

before asking, you should try a few things yourself. like simply doing
ls /etc

you would have noticed that there was a directory called init.d
you might have even guessed that this was the same directory that you
were looking for.
