Hi List,

I am setting up a Cyber Caf of 30 pcs and want to use debian potato rev
6 as server. I want linux for firewall, iptables, domain controller,
mail server, file & print server, and squid as proxy.

I already had one assembled machine with redhat 7.2 but sometime it
crashes with restarting the network deamon. From the logs and
observation I could figure out that this happens because of faulty
network cards or incompatibility with motherboard and other hardware.

My Question is, should I go for branded Servers (PC actually, which I
will convert into server with Linux) like Compaq Presario or HP etc.? If
yes which would be better for linux (Debian Potato)?

AFAIK all branded PCs are well set with all flavor of Linux.

If assembled pc should work, which network, sound and graphic cards
should I prefer?

Should I put all server applications on one machine or use different
machines?
