i have around 75 users in my office currently and all of us get around 250 emails per day. thus total mails adds up to 18750 per day on an avg. since maildir will make one file per email....... and i plan to run an imap server....... can this crash my system with so many files in the hard disk? assuming </snip> We have a server that runs qmail with maildir and vmailmgr. It runs around 150 virtualhosts and the owner of each virtualhost can create as many ids as required. One of our zones has 150 email-ids in it. The server has been going strong for the last two years. I don't think you should have any problem.
