Hi Friends I am a newbie on linux. I have just been handed over a Debian box with 2.4.9 kernel. I am unable to start X windows. I have tried to configure the XF86Config files using the dexconfig and xf86config utilities, but after a while i get the message waiting to shut down Xserver and it stops.
