Hi, I was using RHL 7.3 till today, when I upgraded to
8.0. I found the user interface too mushy and so after
some reading I am thinking about going for gentoo.

My main problem is that the installation docs at
gentoo.org does not have any instructions for
installing with multilpe OS's. I obviously do not want
to use the command
# dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/hdxy bs=1K count=1

Is there any how-to for installing on a box with
windows. I obviously have way too much data to loose,
so I dont wanna screw up the installation.

Keeping this in mind, how do I configure my /, boot
and swap partitions without overwriting my windows
tables and also how do I configure grub to recognise
my windows boot loader

I also want to know if the gentoo distro in september
DIQ cd is good enough for a working installation
complete with, importantly, Xserver and c/c++
libraries including openGL libraries.

Does gentoo support rpms at all?, which will enable me
to install some important libraries/programs from the
rhl cd's

TIA,
-Prashu
