well, let's put it this way. If you had 64MB RAM free, then that means
you bought 64MB extra RAM that is not being used at all. What is
actually happening is that all free RAM is being allocated as cache. As
and when this RAM is required by programs, it is deallocated from cache
and allocated to the program. When you type free, have a look at the
row labelled buffers/cache.
