Hi all,

Whenever I try to mount my CDRW/DVDROM drive, I get the foll. mesg:
$ mount /mnt/cdrom
mount: No medium found

$ dmesg | grep CD
hdc: SAMSUNG CDRW/DVD SM-308B, ATAPI CD/DVD-ROM drive
  Vendor: SAMSUNG   Model: CDRW/DVD SM-308B  Rev: xp01
  Type: CD-ROM ANSI SCSI revision: 02
Attached scsi CD-ROM sr0 at scsi0, channel 0, id 0, lun 0
Uniform CD-ROM driver Revision: 3.12

$ ll /dev/cdrom
lrwxrwxrwx    1 root     root        9 Feb  3 23:34 /dev/cdrom ->
/dev/scd0

Why is the drive detected as /dev/hdc? Any fixes for this problem?

Thanks in advance,
Rishi.
