I have a Celeron 400MHz with 160MB RAM, and MPlayer run 
without any problems whatsoever.

Also, a few months ago, when I had 64MB RAM, it still ran
without any problem.

Again, a few more months ago, when I had 32MB RAM, it ran
very well at 600x480 resolution and probably 16 bit or maybe
256 color ( I forgot ).
