I am running RH7.3 (with LTSP) on P4 2GB machine with two network cards.
I have configured the server to remain switched on through UPS power. If
power goes down the server is switched off else it remains on 24x7. One
card connects my intranet hub. The second card is connecting to ISDN hub
modem. I would like to bring down this card after office hours and restart in
the morning every day. Any guru to hold my hand and walk me through
Put in a cronjob which does something like ifconfig eth0 down - or maybe /etc/rc.d/init.d/network stop at about an hour or so after close of business, and then starts it back up about an hour before the office opens.
