Yes, I do mount with options, but I don't use mount to check CDs I
have written: I use dd. And invariably get disk error. The funny
thing is, I rarely make coasters with regular CD-Rs, only CD-RWs
giving this problem.
The only changes I can see from when i last wrote are, (a) I added
another disk so the CDR went from being secondary master to secondary
slave (with corresponding change in the kernel ide-scsi parameter),
and (b) I must have upgraded the kernel sometime.
Still, it's a weird problem. The only other possibilities I can think
of are that either the CD-RWs or the drive itself have gone bad
somehow.
