Dr Sushruta Martins showed me a cable (costing approx Rs 1500) that allows a fast transfer of data between a desktop and a notebook, USB-to-USB. It comes with some Windows-based software. Does GNU/Linux have any equivalent? Would it transfer as fast?
Secondly, if I copy files on a CD and then transfer to another PC, it comes in all right-protect format. How do I change this?
