Nope, that would not  work. If the size of the  bzImage of your
kernel is  less than 1.35  mb, it would  be possible to  make a
boot floppy  with LILO out  of this.  Space is needed  for LILO
files as well. If you make  a syslinux disk, probably about 1.4
mb kernel would also fit. If it is larger than that you need to
resort to a bootable CD.

$last reboot
last looks back in the wtmp file for all logins. The pseudo
user "reboot" also logs in at all reboots of the system
