Hi all I got a new mother board Asus p4p800-e which has Gigabit Ethernet controller on board. I have put another network card on the slot. I loaded Linux ( pcq 2004). All went well. I was able to access the network card that I added but not the on board Ethernet. I have compile the driver by using make xconfig and went in to network device support, selected Ethernet 1000Mbi. Then I ran make module and make module_install. I was able to see eth1 now, I was able to configure network. But when I reboot, again I have to run modprobe again. Asus supplied a patch file for the driver. I don't know how to go about installing. Any help regards sangunni
