I did do that (I'm running on a laptop w/ a 400 mhz processor) Turned it
off but there were still ~200 mails stuck in the queue. All but one had an
* in front of the message ID. Deleting that mail (it was a spam mail
anyway) got the queue moving. What could have been the problem ?  Anyway
things have been working fine since then.
