Hello,
Has anybody got the Microsoft intellimouse to work in Linux ? I am
not able to get my wheel mouse to work in Linux (fedora core 2). It
was working in redhat 8.0 quite well. But now even when I changed the
configuration data, I am not able to scroll pages using the wheel. The
mouse works perfectly in all other aspects with the settings given
below.
Obviously the server is X instead of XFree86 and so there is a
difference in the configuration files too.
My /etc/X11/xorg.conf file's Input section is as follows:
Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "Mouse0"
Driver "mouse"
Option "Protocol" "IMPS/2"
Option "Device" "/dev/input/mice"
Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"
Option "Emulate3Buttons" "no"
EndSection
The Microsoft intellimouse is connected to the COM1 serial port. I changed
the Protocol section to "intellimouse" and checked but it didn't work.
Another thing is how do I map my "windows" key on my keyboard (the one between
the Left Ctrl and Alt keys) to certain tasks like opening the program menu
like it is done in windows or any other task for that matter?
Thanks
Ravi
