Yes I tried connecting using minicom. And I got the output as follows: // Start of the output Connect 38400 CC User Access Verification Username: <my telephone number was entered> Password: <my password> CC Access denied. Please check your username and password. No Carrier // End of the output
The username/password prompt shows that it is definitely script based and not simply PAP/CHAP. So wvdial in stupid mode is never going to work.
Remove the stupid mode line, and try again with wvdial. Show us the transcript, and the configuration file.
