Hi Sharad Joshi

Please find the output of the ifconfig below:

eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:04:AC:A6:EC:50
          inet addr:192.168.1.27 Bcast:192.168.1.255 Mask:255.255.255.0
          UP BROADCAST RUNNING MTU:1500 Metric:1

          TX packets:3 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
          collisions:0 txqueuelen:100
          Interrupt:11 Base address:0x7c60

The machine was able to obtain an IP address from a DHCP server. The IP
address seen above is obtained from a DHCP server. The machine hangs even
when it is pinged from another machine in the same network.

The output of lsmod is:

Module Size Used by
ip_masq_vdolive 1104 0 (unused)
ip_masq_user 2376 0 (unused)
ip_masq_raudio 2672 0 (unused)
ip_masq_quake 1092 0 (unused)
ip_masq_irc 1328 0 (unused)

eepro100 11888 1 (autoclean)

As you can see the card if an Intel Ether Express Pro 10/100 card. It works
fine with NT running on the same machine in another partition.

U were talking of madi! What is it? Can u explain the steps in brief?

TIA
Ramakrishna
