Yes, but if you look at irdadump, you should see all the reflected
frames. Usually this works fine, but you might get some problems. I have
noticed myself that the link is much more unstable with irtty and the
girbil dongle than when using irport. In fact, irport got modified to do
half duplex comm. just because of the girbil dongle. But if you don't have
any problems, then I suggest you just continue using irtty. You will get
less performance, but this is not an issue when running agaist a slow
mobile phone.
