Sorry, I wasn't very clear.

We're pretending to be the server (as opposed to my quoted Psion script,
which was playing the role of client). So the algorithm we want is...
 * Wait for "CLIENT" from the WinCE device.
 * Send "SERVER".

Hence my guess at the script. Of course, if we were playing the role of
client (say, on a Linux notebook connecting to a NT RAS machine) we'd want
to use your script.
