Ahh, interesting! Well done on getting it going.
Of course, this will then still work with some other client (i.e. the one
I'm using) that sends "CLIENT" and then waits for "SERVER". So we were both
right ;-) Sorry if you wasted much time on this... if I actually had NT-RAS
installed on my current machine I might have been able to guess this a
little more accurately!
On a different note: all my attempts at running pppd over ircomm0 have
resulted in a complete machine lock-up :-( Using kernel 2.2.13-irda12,
irda-utils-0.9.5, and irattach /dev/ttyS1 -d esi. pppd sits and waits
happily, then as soon as I try to connect (I see "Connect: pppd0 <-->
/dev/ircomm0") the linux machine completely hangs. pppd works fine over
cable though, and I've can get minicom sessions working on ircomm0.
Any ideas what might be causing this?
Cheers
Joth
