I own BESTpal, which is supposed to be Palmax 1000 (133Mhz, 1.6GB HD, 32MB
RAM).
I had it working through SIR, but only after executing this line:
echo 100 > /proc/sys/net/irda/slot_timeout
When the slot_timeout was set to default I could not connect with any serial
program to the modem, but when I tried to transfer files from the phone to
computer, the phone showed up for a short period of time (until it aborted
uploading), when using irdadump. However after adding the echo command,
everything works as it is supposed to.
My phone is Nokia 9000 Communicator (one of the first versions).
IrLan worked as well (between BESTpal and Tekram Irmate 210) I got about
8.6kb/sek transferspeed using FTP. Is this normal?
Aren't the devices supposed to connect at 115K baud?
