Hi,
I try to get a Motorola 7389 to work over IRDA. I can get it to work in
minicom but have I not had any success yet with ppp.
I read that some people have the 7089 and the Siemens S25 working.
With a vanilla RedHat 6.0 2.2.5 kernel and irda-utils0.9.4 I can
access /dev/ircomm - meanwhile I tried 2.2.13 and 2.2.14 with irdautils
0.9.9 and cannot access the IR device anymore. irmanager starts, but
irattach fails with a tcset error.
If I try to use the pc87108 module directly, I get "device or ressource
busy", although afaik and findchip reports, it has a PC87338
built-in.
What kernel versions are recommended ? Should I upgrade to a 2.3 kernel ?
The machine I am using is an IBM Thinkpad 560e with the built-in serial
port.
Regards,
Steffan
