yippie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

20: 00 00 00 10 00 00 03 00 ff 8f 00 00 00 04 02 00 00 22 54 42

That is the response to a GetClock request from my laptop to my
Kodak DC-265 via IrDA SIR using IRCOMM.

The stuff at the end says:

   '00 04 02 00 00 22 54 42' = 04/02/00 22:54:42

The '00 00' after the '8f' means NO ERROR!!!!!!!

yahoo!

FIR (4.0mbs) and picture download are sure to follow...

My hope actually is to mangle the opendis application to work
over IrDA SIR and FIR.

The stuff should work for both the DC-265 and DC-290.

The specs I got from Kodak don't mention the cameras specifically,
so it may work with any Digita-OS based camera.

Happy dance... Happy dance...

Jim & Theodore:
The basic change that opendis would need is to bypass beacon
phase entirely. It doesn't exist in IrDA mode.
Port rate, buffer space, et al, are taken care of by lower
   level IrDA protocols.

I'm going to try FIR mode next. Sure would be nice to get
that date and time at 4.0mbs!
