Try 1064. Mobile phone data connections have a very high latency, so if
you have a larger packet size the time taken during turn-arounds will be
less.

I've just compiled 2.2.15pre17 on my laptop, and so far it looks much
better than 2.2.15pre15 was (from fiddling around with Minicom). I haven't
yet tried a data call on it, since I'm out of the country and I'd have to
be mad to pay the roaming charges these American GSM providers want...
