Hi,
i have seen this in my syslog ... (ThinkPad 390E - nsc-ircc, SIR
to S25)

May  9 20:36:41 paradigm kernel: ircomm_tty_attach_cable()
May  9 20:36:41 paradigm kernel: ircomm_tty_ias_register()
May  9 20:36:41 paradigm kernel: irlmp_state_u_connect(),
        Unknown event LM_LAP_DISCOVERY_CONFIRM
May 9 20:36:41 paradigm kernel: irlap_change_speed(), setting speed to 115200

The interesting part here is that it seems this event is supported but
not in irlmp_state_u_connect()
