Hi Claudiu Here's what I received from IrDA on translating things. Their suggestion is to write something like a FAQ in Romanian rather than try to translate and maintain all the specs. If you'd like, however, I'd be happy to bring this up at the IrDA Board of Directors meeting in San Diego in two weeks. This is a common practice on world wide standards. There were a lot of pros and cons discussed when making this decision. IrDA is can only ensure the most current documents are available to the public when we are accountable for them (and legally we are accountable). When you translate them you loose some control regarding accuracy, validating and verifying updates, timeliness of updates, addressing questions based on a translated document, incorrect or "the interpretation is up to you" information, etc..... There were more cons than pros so the board elected to keep them in English. However, those who wanted to translate them have elected to create detailed informational reference documents that were explainatory in nature that compliment our specs. This seems to have worked out well initially but some of them have not been kept current. Hope this helps.
