Hi,

I am trying to use my Nokia8210 as a mobile modem for my notebook.
As a first step I am trying to establish a serial connection via IR.

This almost works: I can send one command to the phone, (like "at\n")
and I receive an answer ("at\n ok\n") from the phone. The only problem is
that this answer is repeated several times, and finaly changes to
"at\n error\n".

Sniffing around with irdadump, it occurs to me that the answer
("at\n ok\n") gets sent back and forth over the link, which fits to
what I can observe, but does not really help me to solve the problem.

Here are some more details of what I have here:

IBM Thinkpad 600 (type 2645), Nokia8210
kernel 2.2.16, irda-utils-0.9.10

I also have Palm V, which can perfectly communicate with both the
phone and the notebook (serial connection).
For sending "business cards" (IrObex) around, all 6 directions between
the devices work fine.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks,

Riko
