Greets to all,
Here is how i setup my phone on Slackware box.

For Linux-2.2. you need to put this in your /etc/modules.conf alias char-major-60
ircomm_tty In addition you must add the IrCOMM device called irnine to /dev like this:

mknod /dev/irnine c 60 64

For Linux-2.3 (or patched 2.2) you need to put this in your /etc/conf.modules

alias char-major-161 ircomm-tty

In addition you must add the IrCOMM device called ircomm0 to /dev like this:

mknod /dev/ircomm0 c 161 0
mknod /dev/ircomm1 c 161 1

For Linux-2.4.x you have to modprobe ircomm-tty.
There is no need to mknod. It does not load automatically for me :(

Use irattach from the irda-utils:
irattach /dev/ttySX

Then switch on the Infrared from the Phone and fire your connection :).

I attached my scripts for dialing.
You can use them if you have problems dialing.Put them in /etc/ppp and run the file mot

That's all :)
